Fun idea to how this project was created. All the live action part of the commercial was actually filmed upside down. Why was this? Well, the costumed characters (when up close) were filmed practically with humans in a costume. There was a hole on the top side of the costumes’ heads where the actors would enter and put on the costumes. The people were then were roto’d out after the fact. The legs of the characters were actually driven by the human actors’ arms extended outward towards the ceiling. All the eyes and arms were created in CG. The treehouse at the end was all CG, however.
