Another classic Roland Emmerich film with world destruction. The vast majority of scenes were either partial or full VFX sequences with hundreds of artists involved bringing the film together during the height of COVID.
My VFX tasks included: • - Creating a boat simulation that interacted with the Flowline water sims and collided with the environment • - Creating and rigging up a tree simulation to be used for shaking, falling and breaking during the water scenes • - Rigging up and simulated power lines shaking and falling during some of the water scenes • - Extra ground debris chunk simulations being pulled into the sky
