The Punisher (Season 1} selects
THE BRIEF
While there were many gun sequences, the one that stood out the most was creating the shotgun blast to the head of his enemy. We modeled the head consisting within it the skull and brain parts. After mapping out where the exit wound should be, we camera mapped a clean frame from the live plate of the victim and ingested those elements into Thinking Particles.
We created a simulation that took our bullet projectile Volume Breaking through the back of the skull geometry exiting through his side. During the process the projectile ripped through our brain matter combined with the fractured skull creating nice chunks. From there we created a TP blood flow simulation that emitted along with head wound geometry creating a tasty effect.
The assassination video scene assembly was built over a real world scale of about 1 mile between the border of Mexico and Texas. Buildings were laid out to create the two towns The Punisher's bullet traveled through towards his target
